  • Our adult Sunday School class for any non-members will be next Sunday at 10:00 am at Northview Commons.
  • The Kilgus and Wulf families would like to invite the Forrest congregation to a singing for Sis. Brooke and Bro. Brett at 7:00 pm on Saturday, June 8 at church. Everyone is also invited to their wedding reception at the Fairbury Fellowship Hall on Sunday, June 9 from 2:30-4:30 pm. If you plan to attend the reception, please sign up on the sheet under the women’s bulletin board.
  • We are planning a five week study through the book of James starting Wednesday, June 19. There is a supper planned for June 19 at church to start the study. Please sign up on the sheets under the women’s bulletin board if you plan to attend. Any questions can be directed to Bro. Rollie or Sis. Promise Mueller.
  • There is still a need for kitchen help during VBS week. If you are able to help, please sign up here.

  • Next Sunday is our turn for services at Fairview Haven. Please check the lists on the men's and women's bulletin boards for your turn; if you are unable to go on your Sunday, please find a replacement to help with singing and fellowship.
  • The Fairbury congregation has invited the Forrest congregation, along with Cissna Park and Congerville, for a singing next Sunday, May 26 at the Fellowship Hall at 6:30pm. There is a sign-up sheet under the women's bulletin board for those interested in attending.

  • Vacation Bible School is planned for June 3-6. There is a SignUp Genius to help with food or in the kitchen.
  • All are invited to the wedding reception for Bro. Brett Wulf and Sis. Brooke Kilgus on Sunday, June 9 from 2:30-4:30 pm at the Fairbury Fellowship Hall. Please sign up on the list under the women’s bulletin board if you plan to attend the reception.
  • The Spring Memorandum will be read Wednesday, June 12. Elder Brother Craig Martin is planning to be with us. All members and converts are encouraged to make plans to attend.
  • We are thankful that Wyatt Edelman (Bro. Kraig and Sis. Carrie) and Evan Leman (Bro. Ben and Sis. Lori) have started repenting.
  • We are launching a new “prayer request” feature on the church website today, for the purpose of sharing church-wide prayer requests. It is accessed by the link at the top-right corner of the website (desktop) or through the 3-line menu icon (cell phone). Guidelines for sending requests are listed on that page. Any questions regarding this new feature can be directed to Sis. Kate Zimmerman, Sis. Morgan Welborn or Bro. Ted Bachtold.

  • The sanctuary sound system project is scheduled to start this week and be completed by next Sunday.
  • We will have worship service in Fairbury this Wednesday eve at 7:30 pm instead of Forrest.
  • We are planning to serve Holy Communion for any brothers or sisters who could not come previously next Sunday after church around 2:00pm.
  • Next Sunday is our collection for LifePoints. They use donations for funding Medicaid shortfalls, maintaining a quality staff, and periodic renovations and capital projects. There is more information posted on the bulletin boards.
  • It is our turn for services in Garden Grove, IA next Sunday, and Bro. Josh is planning to go.
  • Sis. Shannon Brown has been selected to serve as a Sunday School teacher.

  • There will be provings this Saturday beginning at 7:00 pm for Allie Schneider and Kate Schneider. Elder Brothers Duane Rocke from Minneapolis, MN and Rick Plattner are planning to be with us.
  • There will be an all-church singing at the Fellowship Hall next Sunday evening after the baptisms, starting at 6:30pm.

  • It is our turn for services in Garden Grove, Iowa in two weeks, on May 12. Bro. Josh is planning to go.
  • The trustees are planning to replace all the pew Bibles in the sanctuary with large print Bibles. They are testing a sample of these large print Bibles in rows 5-8 on the center men's and women's sections, and they would welcome any feedback.
  • The Apostolic Christian bookstore is looking for volunteers to help place correction stickers in over 2500 newly printed, updated Gospel Hymns hymnals. If you are interested in helping with this project, there is more information posted on the bulletin boards.
